The US Small Business Association for International Contractors (SBAIC) is a membership forum established to share and encourage best practices in development, and to promote equity in USAID contracting.

Members are for-profit companies with less than $6.5 million in annual revenues, and have solid track records providing services to USAID projects across the globe. We all have DCAA-auditable accounting systems, knowledge of FAR/ADAR regulations, contract administration experience, solid reporting systems, and the proven ability to field short and long-term teams. Our member companies are highly qualified, specialized and results-oriented. We are also cost-competitive, innovative and technically focused.

We support expanding the meaningful utilization of small business within the USAID procurement system, and are committed to working with the Agency and larger international contracting, university and NGO communities to achieve this goal. We support improved data collection and dissemination; better monitoring and evaluation; stronger enforcement of subcontracting provisions; expanded in-Agency advocacy; and wider educational outreach at all organizational and Agency levels as helpful tools in the promotion of greater small business parity and participation.

SBAIC tracks and reports on notable small business field approaches and results, and on what constitutes best practices 1) amongst small contractors, 2) between prime and subcontractors, and 3) between USAID and small contractors.
