Application for SBAIC Membership

Full Members

Full Members are for profit U.S. small business in good standing with USAID or other U.S. Government Agency foreign assistance contract history. Annual dues for Full Members are $250.

Full Member benefits include:

  • Company Profile, News and Success Stories on www.sbaic.org.
    Members can update their own profile on the website in real time.
  • Exposure in SBAIC quarterly newsletter.
    Member companies can submit articles, events and news to be included in the newsletter on topics relevant to USAID.
  • Ability to be a Board Member of a Committee with voting rights.
    The Board consists of the following committees: Executive Committee, Communications, Membership, Procurement, and Outreach.
  • Log-in access to the SBAIC Intranet.
    The Intranet contains an online member directory, meetings minutes, presentations, reports, survey information, etc.
  • Access SBAIC Members-Only private group on LinkedIn.
    An online forum where members can network with one another.
  • Receive updates on USAID small business procurement and other SBAIC initiatives via email and in bi-monthly member meetings.
    Meetings occur on the first Tuesday of every other month.
  • Attend SBAIC's Speaker Series six times per year.
    Our speakers provide critical information on contractual, financial, legal, and other relevant topics that help members be more competitive.
  • Ability to sponsor and participate in annual SBAIC Networking Reception with USAID.
    This event immediately follows the USAID Annual Small Business Conference.

Associate Members

Associate Members are for profit U.S. small business (and/or their principal officers) in good standing with USG contracting and/or experience in international development, but no past or current USAID or other U.S. Government Agency contract experience providing foreign assistance. Associate Members have the ability to move up to Full Member category upon receipt of a USAID or other U.S. Government Agency Foreign Assistance prime or subcontract. If after 5 years, no USAID or other U.S. Government Agency Foreign Assistance prime or sub-contract has been awarded, the company will no longer be eligible for membership. Annual dues for Associate Members are $125.

Associate Member benefits include:

  • Company name and link on this website.
    Company names/links will be listed on the newly created Associate Members web page.
  • Ability to be a volunteer member of a Committee.
    SBAIC has the following committees: Communications, Membership, Procurement, and Outreach.

Note: Having a Mentor-Protégé relationship with a large firm would not qualify a small business for full membership. The Protégé firm would need to have actual USAID contracting experience in its own right.
